Investing in Eternity

A Message from our Pastor

In the book of Ezra, we read about the Jewish people returning to their land to rebuild the Temple of God.  In this undertaking, Zerubbabel and his work crew faced constant delays and discouragements.  How easy it would have been to simply give up!  Yet, they were sure that God wanted the temple to be rebuilt and this assurance gave them confidence.  In Ezra 6:15, our attention is focused upon a momentous occasion.  Only those who were there and who had worked so hard could fully appreciate the announcement.  The Bible says, "Now the temple was finished . . . in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius."

All their work, their dreams, and their hopes were finally realized.  The temple had been completed.  We too have a dream of building a place to worship God and to spiritually educate our children.  We look forward to the day when the building will be completed and dedicated to God's service.

What is Investing in Eternity?

The Investing in Eternity theme was chosen because it best describes our church's goals.  When we share the gospel through our ministries, we are investing in someone else's eternal life.  We have an opportunity through our building plan to further invest in this community.

Phase 1 of Investing in Eternity is a capital campaign to raise the funding for our new building.  Phase 2 of Investing in Eternity is the actual construction phase.

On February 26th, we are asking members and regular attenders to make a sacrificial pledge toward Investing in Eternity.
